Frequently Asked Questions

What's included in the test report?

Each testing package includes a formatted report with analytical data, test conditions, and performance notes based on the methods used. Reports provide the technical foundation for material comparison and qualification decisions. Scope and deliverables for each package are detailed on the individual package pages.

Can you help interpret the results for my specific application?

Testing packages deliver objective analytical data and performance assessment. Result interpretation beyond the defined scope of each package is not included in testing services and is available as a separate engagement on a selective basis.

Do you test finished absorbent products such as diapers?

APS testing is focused on SAP performance evaluation rather than finished product testing. In cases where a performance issue requires it, finished product evaluation including capacity, rewet, and acquisition testing can be incorporated alongside SAP recovery and comparative analysis as part of an expanded diagnostic scope.

Are tests performed using industry-standard methods?

Yes. Testing is performed using established industry methods commonly used to evaluate superabsorbent polymer performance, including NWSP, EDANA and ISO methodologies where applicable. The specific methods included in each package are described on the individual package pages.

Do you offer custom or expanded testing?

Yes. Projects requiring modified test conditions, additional analytical parameters, or methods beyond the defined packages are scoped and quoted individually. Contact APS to discuss expanded testing options.

How do I choose the right testing package?

Each APS testing package was developed around the four most common SAP evaluation scenarios — material screening, performance qualification, supplier COA validation, and performance diagnostics. Individual package pages provide detailed method and reporting information. If you are unsure, contact APS to discuss your project before submitting a proposal.
